Long Branch – Ernest B. Guice, 57, of 148 Broadway, former Eatontown fire chief was found dead in his parked car on Florence Ave., Tuesday night.
Assistant County Physician Herbert A. Knapp said death was due to natural causes.
Mr. Guice was born in Lakewood, son of the late Samuel R. and Lydia Brown Guice He had lived here for 10 years. He was employed as a painter and paper hanger by William Boyce, Rumson.
Mr. Guice also had been active in the Eatontown First Aid Squad.  He had been a drummer in the Shrewsbury Post American Legion Band, Red Bank; Crescent Band, Eatontown; and Griffin Band, Long Branch.  He was a member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church and had been active in Boy Scout work Eatontown.  He was an Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Hall Guice; two sons, Ernest B. Guice Jr. and Robert W. Guice, both at home; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Doherty of Long Branch; a sister, Mrs. Elaine Cain of Eatontown, and two grandchildren. 
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Ralph J. Damaino Funeral Home, Long Branch.  Rev. James S. McGowan, pastor of St. Luke’s Methodist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery.

Meta L. White, 78, a lifelong resident of Long Branch, died yesterday at Monmouth Medical Center.
     Mrs. White was a member of Long Branch Council, Daughters of America.
     Her husband, Stanley E. died in 1953.
     Surviving are two sons, Stanley E. Jr. California, and Conover H., Long Branch; three daughters, Pearl Wickersham, Muriel Bostwick and J. Elaine Keller, all Long Branch; Three sisters, Mildred Guice, Tinton Falls, Connie Juska, Long Branch, and, Lorraine Smith, Ocean Township; 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
               Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of arrangements.

Stanley White, Long Branch – Stanley White, 59, 25 Morrell Street, died yesterday at Monmouth Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Matawan, the son of George r. and Josephine White.  He is survived by his wife Meta, two sons Stanley E. of the Navy, and Conover, Long Branch; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Wickersham, Mrs. Muriel Bostwick, and Miss June E. White, Long Branch; two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Effie Balley, and Mrs. Olive Compton, both of Keyport, and four brothers, Myron, Japan; Leroy, Long Branch; Wilfred, West End, and George, Red Bank.
               Arrangements are in charge of the Woolley Funeral Home, Long Branch.

LUCY ROSE GUICE, 69, a lifelong resident of
LONG BRANCH, died Saturday at Kimball
Medical Center, Lakewood. She was a member
of Christ Church, Shrewsbury.
Her husband, Benjamin E. Guice, died in 1992.
Surviving are a son, Patrick Guice of Toms
River; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and
Herman Brabham of Long Branch; a sister, Alice
Petrico of Wanamassa, Ocean Township; and a
grandson, Jared.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m.
Wednesday until time of service at 11 a.m. at
Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin
avenues, Long Branch. Interment will be in
White Ridge Cemetery, Eatontown. Letters of

OCEAN TOWNSHIP -- Mrs. Ella S. Hall, 81, of 17 Peach Tree Rd., Oakhurst, widow of George Hall, died Thursday in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.

She was born in Long Branch and was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church there.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Meta White and Mrs. Mildred Fuice of Long Branch, Mrs. Joseph Juska of Oakhurst and Mrs. Edward Smith of West Long Branch; 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was this morning, with burial in Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch.
